- Abby told me to think of some names for our blog and then she left to visit teach (she's so good)
- All of the Cannon's have awesome blogs that make us happy and we want to be cool like them
- Facebook is not as conducive to telling about general happenings of our family and lives
- I like record keeping (plus playing around with templates and other meaningless add ons)
- For posterity
So our new journal may be slow going to start with. We are busy people these days, but Sundays are perfect to give updates on how the Montandonies are doing! When kids come along there will be much more to write about too. It's so fun to learn of little Cannon's running, walking, crawling or just curled up and waiting!
Our adventure has begun and we are off to a nice start. Our wedding day was like a dream. Our time together in the Salt Lake Temple on the 25th of July was beautiful. What a blessing it was
To say the least, life is different today than that dream week was. Both Abby and I are taking on our final years of our undergraduate degrees (Geography and Social Work) at Utah State University. Abby has been working at Al's sporting goods, ASSERT preschool for children with autism, and keeping up with 12 credits of coursework. I have been volunteering over 30 hours a week primarily at Juvenile Justice Services for my internship in Social Work along with my own 12 credits. So our typical day usually consists of waking up later than we wish to, running to either class, work or volunteer work, leaving our work places at 9 and then staying up later than we wish the next morning! Life is great. We have more blessings than we can count. We have been called as the welfare specialists in our married student ward. We just gave talks in sacrament meeting today which was a good experience. Here are some plans for the future:
- The Cortowa: (Corvallis to Washington D.C.) Cycle across America starting in May to mid July
- Graduate school in Social Work: front runners include Washington in St. Louis, Boston, U of Washington in Seattle
- Abby starting training to become a certified natural family planning adviser
- Have a beautiful little child someday (I'm thinking girl)
