Bike trip? no. Southern Hemisphere? yes.

So in case you haven't figured it out yet, we are unexpectedly expecting! All plans to bike across the United States have been put on hold for now. But when God sends a baby, he also gives you a free trip to Australia! Here we are "down under" and enjoying a fast forward view of family life. We are helping Andy and Natalie Goddard (Andy is Patrick's cousin) with their five children while they are here building a DoTERRA following here in Australia. We have been here a ten days and learned heaps about our Heavenly Father's incredible creations as well as parenting.

Cortowa 2010 Bike tour, we are serious.

As the Spring approaches we are getting to the nitty gritty of the planning process. We are looking for places to crash, primarily through the mid-west of this map.

Please let us know if you know anyone or have any extraordinary ideas about staying clean and well rested.

Cheers,

Patrick and Abby

Rexburg Valentines II

Sunday we were able to just take it easy with the cousins. We made Cafe Rio Pork Salads and Valentines themed cupcakes. Later we were favored with hilarity of Danny Kaye in the Court Jester. I still don't know if Seth is convinced of how awesome that movie really is.

Monday we were able to enjoy beautiful Idaho snowshoe style. We didn't quite make it to Mesa Falls, but we felt accomplished and very pleased with our surroundings. Patrick is trying very hard to maintain his masculine role, being very macho and very much the only guy for the majority of the trip. Bless you my dear husband!

We were all very proud of Maddy who came along to take photos and didn't really know what she was getting into. To be fair none of us did. I hope some turned out, we can't wait to see them. Maddy is a very talented photographer. It was really fun to see her doing what she loves. I love my family!

You can see the river through the trees. It was so beautiful, we greatly misjudged the length of the hike. Near the end we were all pretty tired so we decided to take a shorter route back for the taqueria in Ashton, muy bueno! It was wonderful to spend time with family and see more of that Idaho sky. I'm really grateful for the great people in our lives and so many great wonders to enjoy so close. Thanks again to Maddy and Seth, Katie, Annie and Mom and Dad for the gas money home! We are so blessed. Valentines was definitely full of love this year!

A Rexburg Valentines I

Romance and Parking lots.....
Love is in the air, it was all around great to be around family all weekend. This is Abby, Annie and Katie in front of Kate's apartment.

We had a great weekend visiting family up in Idaho. We started out the weekend with Kate at Frostop, of Ashton. Where we gorged ourselves on fried foods and rootbeer as well as "Other Stuff" (see menu). Yum! We were a little surprised by the bill, our stomachs were a bit bigger than our wallets but it was worth it. (Katie was also kind enough to pick up the tab :) Thanks Katie, I was not disappointed!

The fun wasn't about to end. We went back to Rexburg for grocery shopping and lots of Valentine's making. Maddy and Seth were kind enough to let us use their apartment. Little Bowie was very helpful.

I'm still trying some new tricks to uploading photos to these things so I will have to post a part two.

"Dramatic" Basketball?

I thought I would just express my surprise to the world wide blog since my husband has the evening with delinquents. During our lunch break today Patrick introduced me to the The Harlem Globetrotters. After 20 minutes convincing me that they were "actors" and not a real NBA team I began to be more fascinated by the idea. It is such an interesting concept I was shocked that I had never heard of them.

The Harlem Globetrotters win every night they play. The teams they play usually consist of uncoordinated white men that have their own comic relief. I learn something new everyday. It's too bad that new thing today is about a dramatized basketball team.

I knew I married Patrick for a reason.
